Spring and Klein Area Business Owners Educated on How to Receive High Rankings for Their Websites

Spring, TX – June 5, 2008 – The Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce (SKCC) held their second monthly luncheon on Tuesday, June 3rd providing members and guests with a networking opportunity that also increased their knowledge of how to market their business websites on the Internet.

Javier Avellan, an Internet Marketing Consultant, formerly employed with Schipul of Houston, educated luncheon attendees on web marketing design fundamentals.  Avellan gave them instruction, tips and methods on how to attract customers to their website using basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques and then how to motivate the customers to action once they arrive at the business website.  Several guests spoke with him afterwards to get additional input on specific ways to improve their site.

Business leaders, who met at the Sizzler Restaurant on FM2920, also gave short presentations on the services and products that their companies provide ranging from legal services to auto body repair and restoration to supplemental insurance to a Spring area community forum.  “The various types of businesses represented really shows a great start to this grassroots business organization,” says Toni Richard, president and co-founder of the Chamber.  “Their needs however are primarily the same.  They want to grow their business and support the community where they work.”

The Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce is a community driven business organization committed to facilitating networking opportunities for local area business, acting as an advocate in promoting and supporting the Spring and Klein areas, and offering services and events that improve and enhance quality of life for our community.  For more information on SKCC membership and how you can be involved in this dynamic new chamber, visit www.springkleinchamber.org or call 281-257-4431.

Spring Klein Chamber Kick Off Luncheon Announced!

Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce Forming
Area businesses invited to luncheon to kick off

The Spring and Klein local business community is invited to a kick-off luncheon event for a new Chamber of Commerce.

The networking luncheon will offer business owners the opportunity to discuss expectations and brainstorm on specific community needs in the newly created Chamber of Commerce at Sizzler Restaurant, located at 6062 FM 2920, May 6 from 11:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.

“There is great interest from area business owners on the creation of this new chamber,” says Toni Richard, editor of the Tomball-Spring Times, a bi-weekly community newspaper, and president of the new chamber.  “Klein has a really rich history and we want to maintain that heritage while also promoting continued economic growth and diversity in this area.”  Richard is working to develop the Chamber of Commerce in partnership with local business members of the community.

“We’re looking forward to the luncheon as a gauge of the business community’s enthusiasm,” Richard said.

The luncheon menu will include lemon chicken with rice pilaf, soft drinks and a full salad bar at $20 per person.

“Much of the event will be dedicated to pure networking between businesses,” Richard said. “We think Spring and Klein area business people will be delighted to see how many business neighbors they have, what they can offer each other, and what they could do as a group if they worked together.”

To make a reservation to attend the luncheon, or to become involved with the Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce, call Candace Runaas at (281) 257-4431.
